The American Dream
What is the American Dream you may ask? The American Dream is a goal that is pursued and that Americans strive to achieve.The American Dream at this time was expansion; the goal that Americans wanted to achieve was the expansion of the United States. Theodore Roosevelt not only expanded American influences and the United States but he also balked up they United States Navy ("Theodore Roosevelt Biography"). Theodore Roosevelt wanted to make the United States a greater threat on the world stage and thought that it was time for the United States to take it's rightful place ("Theodore Roosevelt Biography"). At this time the United States wanted to become stronger not as individuals but as a country. Theodore Roosevelt was the man that could lead the United States to become a better and stronger country. He was tough, and he was a fighter and did not let anything stop him from achieving all he could for his country ("Timeline Life of Theodore Roosevelt").

Historical Movements
During Theodore Roosevelt's presidency he issued a corollary to the Monroe Doctrine in 1905. This allows the United States to exercise international policy power so they can intervene and keep smaller countries on their feet ("Theodore Roosevelt -- wiki").
In 1906 Theodore Roosevelt helped pass The Meat Inspection Act in which companies could not have misleading labels and preservatives that had harmful chemicals in them ("Theodore Roosevelt --wiki"). There was also a law in 1906 that Theodore Roosevelt helped pass called The Pure Food and Drug Act that banned food and drugs that are falsely labeled from being made, sold, or shipped ("Theodore Roosevelt -- wiki").
